Meaningful Life
May 12, 2020 7:06 pm 6 CommentsMy “Society of Love and Kindness” Blog:
After dinner this evening, I was busy preparing the food for my dog, Missy. My husband noticed that I was meticulously taking out the chicken bones from the rest of the food. He told me I was wasting too much time that I could not really afford since I have so much to do. I told him that I just wanted to make Missy’s meal a little more interesting and special for her, instead of giving her the same daily dog food. Then he went off and I was left there continuing with what I was doing. In the process, my mind took me to the ton of work waiting for me to do before the end of the day; and I felt some pressure. However, it was calming for me to hear a whisper from my heart, “If I just make a day in one’s life brighter through the little things I do, then my hours are well spent; and if I can make one life feel better—it can be any life that God created—then my life would truly be meaningful.” Any act of love and kindness makes our world a better place to live in and makes life worth living.
May you all have bright and beautiful days ahead despite the dark, ominous clouds that hover above us during these challenging times of the Corona virus pandemic. Please stay safe. God bless you all!
